The power of coaching circles

One-on-one coaching provides an excellent opportunity for delving into your vision of the future – where do you want to be in 5 years. Over a period of time, probably 3-6 months, you work with your coach to learn more about yourself, your strengths and challenges, and how you can position yourself to be where you want to be.

Another approach might be to become part of a coaching circle. In a circle a coach guides the members (5-6) to support another member. Everyone has dedicated time to be the ‘client’, to explore difficult issues or ways to move forward. Members gradually learn to use a coaching posture, not offering advise or solutions, but support each other’s exploration of new possibilities.

Many organizations have integrated coaching circles into their culture. Circles can help with on-boarding new managers, support new leaders transitioning into their new roles, break down silos, etc.

The STARS Circles are made up of people who are facing similar challenges. The others in the circle may not even live in the same region, or may come from different industries. Through the coaching process and with a supportive environment, the STARS Circles may be the right path for you.
